Pokémon Scarlet/Violet: Speedrunner finishes the game in less than 5h30
Speedruns have already become a popular sport within the gaming community and every game can pass through the hands of these determined players. One of the most recent is “Pokémon Scarlet/Violet”, which has a record speedrun of less than 5h30 of gameplay.
The record was set on December 15th by streamer truely, who streamed his entire quick adventure through the Paldea region on his Twitch channel. The speedrun record of 5 hours, 27 minutes and 11 seconds is also displayed on YouTube.
It is worth noting that this record of less than 5h30 is equivalent to the entire game of “Pokémon Scarlet/Violet”, that is: all three storylines of the game.

The speedrun tricks of “Pokémon Scarlet/Violet”
To complete the entire saga of “Pokémon Scarlet/Violet” as quickly as possible, players and speedrunner streamers are betting on some tricks, in particular two: using the Pokémon Flamigo and starting the adventure by completing the Path of Legends, of Titan Pokémon.
For starters, Path of Legends, which takes the player into battle against the Titan Pokémon of Paldea, unlocks new transport abilities for Koraidon/Miraidon, decreasing travel time between the game’s main missions and allowing the player access to difficult areas of the map, such as mountains, rivers and seas.
The most used trick, however, comes with the Pokémon Flamigo. Thanks to the ability Scrappy, Flamigo can attack Ghost Pokémon with Normal and Fighting-type moves.
Flamigo is also a speedrunners favorite thanks to its typing, strong physical attacks, and high speed stats.
It was mainly with Flamigo that truely conquered his speedrun record of 5 hours, 27 minutes and 11 seconds in “Pokémon Scarlet/Violet”.
As many speedrunners have already noticed, beyond these two main tricks, there’s not much you can do to speed up the adventure in this Nintendo Switch exclusive game.
