AI-created, never-ending show inspired by “Seinfeld” is a hit on Twitch

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly present in our lives and recently, this tool has drawn attention for being able to create photos, art, texts and, now, even TV series. This is the case of the program “Nothing, Forever”, inspired by the series “Seinfeld” and which is already a success on Twitch.

Created by Skylar Hartle and Brian Habersberger, using AI and GPT-3, the Artificial Intelligence language model, “Nothing, Forever” is broadcasted 24/7 and, just as “Seinfeld” is described, is a series “about nothing”.

According to the creators, everything in the program is generated by Artificial Intelligence, except the design of the characters and the laughs that can be heard occasionally, just like it happens in popular Sitcoms.

The strategy of the creators of “Nothing, Forever” was to use a combination of machine learning, generative algorithms and cloud services and the result is: random conversations, unexpected reactions, awkward silences and attempted jokes that do not work as well as imagined.

But still, a super interesting project to watch.

Launched on Dec. 14, the WatchMeForever Twitch channel, which airs “Nothing, Forever,” has garnered more than 94,000 followers, most of its current total of 95,400 followers, according to data from the StreamsCharts website.

The peak of users watching the “program about nothing” created by AI was 19 thousand this February, so far, and the channel has already surpassed 443 thousand hours watched only in the second month of this year, when it finally captured the public’s interest and attention.
