63 Days: A WWII Tactical Strategy Game

63 days is a real-time tactical strategy game developed by Destructive Creations. You start as two brothers, Lynx and Youngster, who train a resistance group as you’re confronted with the harsh laws of World War II in Warsaw, Poland during the German occupation.

63 days takes us on an incredible journey through the appalling world of war, with its destroyed homes and buildings, the murderous madness of the German soldiers, the atmospheric music, the mutual aid and solidarity of the citizens.

If you’re not familiar with the genre, you can take advantage of the well-staged tutorial. The game isn’t easy, though I admit that I’m not a big fan of tactical games, and this one is no exception. And compared to other games, you’re not limited in terms of action, so you’re free to play to your heart’s content.

Hindered by Unstable Camera and Unresponsive A.I.

I’d like to add that I have two weaknesses with this game: an unstable camera, which is a shame for a game where the action is in real time, and the A.I., which at times has difficulty reacting to our actions, leading us to abandon the discretion aspect of the game.

Infiltration or Direct Confrontation?

You can throw a pebble or shout to attract an enemy or create a diversion, but if that doesn’t work, and you’re still keen to find out what’s going on next, then go for the full frontal action, using the weapons you’re carrying to eliminate your opponents.

Before that, you can also eliminate them in a discreet manner. The younger of the two is the weaker of the two, and to kill his opponent, he can throw a knife, but be careful, it emits a noise represented by a white circle. The louder the noise, the bigger the circle. This will alert the soldiers. Lynx, the bigger of the two, can strangle his opponent without being disturbed – brilliant, isn’t it?

Personally, as I’m not at all familiar with the infiltration aspect of the game, I mainly played in gruff mode, although that doesn’t mean it was any easier – quite the contrary, I think you have to juggle between the two, especially when the situation gets out of hand and the enemies have spotted you.


For the love of his country

Warsaw, two brothers fighting for their city, their country, and to free it from the German grip, for this reason alone, the game can appeal to viewers, touching them to the very depths of their being, and above all a way of remembering and having a huge thought for our ancestors who fought for freedom in the world.

Then for the approach, you could very well ask and consult with your audience, in order to know what actions to take, which enemy to deal with first, and there will be a great deal of interaction.

For those who are used to the game, I think it will be a formality, so I’d advise you to play in extreme mode, where allied fire is activated. If you’re a novice, easy mode will be for you, so you can understand the mechanics and not be overwhelmed. In short, it’s up to you to judge, test and embark on this adventure, which promises to be touching and captivating, given the chaotic and horrific world of war.

Yes, the game takes place in Poland, but that doesn’t matter, it’s a game with a beautiful soul and a touching story.

Summary
