Twitch: League of Legends is the most watched game of 2022

Launched in 2009, “League of Legends” remains one of the biggest hits in the gaming industry and in 2022 continued to prove to be super popular and became the most watched title of the year on Twitch.

In recent years, Riot Games’ popular MOBA has proven to be a huge multimedia success, with hit animated series and other products coming out of the gaming universe.

Perhaps for this reason, “League of Legends” was the most popular game on Twitch in 2022, earning an incredible 1,499,478,263 hours watched throughout the year, with a peak viewership of 3,145,012 viewers, according to data from the website SullyGnome.

Despite the number, the audience for “League of Legends” suffered a drop of 13.6% compared to the previous year. This viewership drop was seen by every game in the Top 10 most watched on Twitch, except “Valorant”, another Riot Games title, which grew its viewership by 16.4%.

Despite the huge number In terms of hours watched and its peak viewers, the highest among all of the Top 10 most watched games on Twitch, “League of Legends” is not the most popular content on Amazon’s streaming platform.

In fact, the “Just Chatting” category, popular among many Twitch streamers, remains the platform’s most watched content, with 2,930,264,476 hours watched in 2022.

The category’s peak of viewers, however, is lower than that of Riot Games’ MOBA: 2,309,980 users watching “Just Chatting” content on Twitch.
