YouTube: Creators will get 10 free Membership Gifts every month
Having a video and livestream channel full of subscribers is every content creator’s desire these days, but getting those subscribers can be a somewhat difficult task. To try to solve this problem and encourage viewers about the benefits of being a member of a channel, YouTube came up with a solution.
From now on, all channels that have Memberships enabled will receive 10 free Membership Gifts every month. These memberships can be gifted to the channel’s followers and viewers during a livestream.
Google’s idea with these free Membership Gifts is for the public to learn about the advantages of being a member of a channel by enabling access for a month to exclusive member items, such as personalized emojis and exclusive content.
This benefit, according to Google, is not valid for Brand Channels.
YouTube’s free Membership Gifts
To receive the free Membership Gifts from YouTube at the beginning of each month, the creator has to enable membership on their channel and have a sign-up offer of less than $5.
To gift a membership, the content creator must be on a livestream or at a premiere of one of their videos.

As pointed out by Google, gift memberships can only be distributed in bundles of 5 at a time, meaning the creator has two packs of 5 memberships to give as a gift to their followers and viewers.
Google also warned that unused gift memberships are not rolled over to the following month and their availability is reset on the 1st of each month.
