With Nicki Minaj, Kai Cenat breaks personal Twitch audience record
Kai Cenat continues to show his relevance, breaking records as one of today’s top streamers, and now, alongside Nicki Minaj, the streamer has set a new personal audience record on Twitch.
Promoting her newest album, “Pink Friday 2”, released on December 8th, Nicki Minaj joined Kai Cenat in a live broadcast this Thursday (14th) and their popularity generated a new peak viewers record for the streamer.
According to the website StreamCharts, Kai Cenat’s broadcast with Nicki Minaj was the biggest of the streamer’s career to date, reaching 348,593 viewers. The number represents a new personal record for Kai on Twitch, a platform he threatened to leave if he was senselessly banned again.
The streamer’s previous milestone was reached on July 4th of this year, when his broadcast peaked at 306,280 viewers.
The audience average of the broadcast, which lasted more than 5 hours, was 227,874 viewers, with a total audience estimated at more than one million people.
This is not the first time that Kai Cenat has welcomed big stars from global pop culture on his live broadcasts. Before Nicki Minaj appearance this week, the American streamer had also welcomed other big names in Rap, such as Offset and Ice Spice.
Kai Cenat’s success
As one of today’s biggest streamers, Kai Cenat, current holder of the Streamy Awards Streamer of the Year title, is no newcomer when it comes to breaking records. Also this year, in February, he set a new mark with his Subathon (a marathon to get subscribers on the channel), surpassing the 300,000 subscribers mark in a single month. The previous record belonged to Ludwig.
Currently, Kai Cenat is one of the main names in the sights of Kick, a platform that directly competes with Twitch and has already hired several big names previously present on Amazon’s live streaming platform.
