Valorant Premier Open Beta

When will the Open Beta of Premier, Valorant’s new competitive system, be launched?

With an increasingly strong competitive landscape, “Valorant” is about to launch a new system to foster this scenario even more. Called Premier, the system’s Open Beta will be available soon on Riot Games’ FPS.

Long awaited by the most avid players of competitive “Valorant”, Premier will have its Open Beta in Episode 6 Act 3 of the game. Currently in the final stages of Act 1 of Episode 6, the Open Beta of the new competitive FPS system from Riot Games should debut between May and June, after the end of Act 2, which begins on March 7th.

The news was revealed by Andy Ho, Director of the game, in an announcement video on the official YouTube of “Valorant”.

How will Premier work on “Valorant”

With Premier, it will be possible to create teams, with customization of colors and logos, for official competitions within “Valorant”, which will earn points that can classify teams for special in-game tournaments.

The new competitive system, according to Leo Farias, head of the eSports division of “Valorant”, will also be the way for teams to enter professional championships, such as “Challengers”, making it the “way to become a pro player”.

According to Leo, it will be through the Premier that the teams will be able to compete in the “Challengers” tournaments of their divisions and, thus, make their way to the main championship of “Valorant”: the “Champions”.

With a system similar to Clash, from “League of Legends”, another popular game from Riot Games, Premier should also offer rewards in the future.

The place for new talents

In a recent interview during “VCT23 LOCK//IN”, currently taking place in São Paulo (via POPline – in Portuguese), Anna Donlon, executive producer of “Valorant”, stated that Premier can also be the place where professional teams in the game will find new talents to join them.

“Our hope is to see teams pulling talent directly from that system and then we’ll see teams competing in that at a higher level,” said Anna Donlon.
