In Voidtrain, our goal is to survive aboard a train that follows a track into nothingness in the company of some very cute creatures. The only thing we have to watch out for is our life, which will automatically refill only if we have a sufficiently full satiety bar.

Building Your Voidtrain Arsenal

You’ll need to collect resources such as wood or scrap metal to make various items, such as a forge, workshop or stove.

During the harvesting phase, you’ll need to protect the train from the shark’s onslaught, otherwise it’s likely to do a lot of damage. To help you out, you’ll be able to use little creatures called Lootophiles, whose food is exclusively water, to automatically harvest resources.
Once as many resources as possible have been collected, you’ll need to do some research to unlock new crafting stations or useful items, as well as decorations.

Creatures, Combat, and Upgrades

What’s more, other creatures can be used on different stations, bringing bonuses such as increased crafting speed, but we can also put these creatures on weapons to protect us from various dangers.

Once the harvesting phase is over, the train arrives at the depot. Here, there will be enemies to fight, which will provide useful resources such as weapon parts for upgrading. This is also the area where you can modify the train by adding armor or enlarging it.

Voidtrain is An Adventure with Limitations

Finally, a grappling hook can be used to access various islands for exploration purposes.

From a streamer’s point of view, several options allow you to modify the game’s difficulty, making it more or less challenging. The game can also be played by several players, allowing for team play. Unfortunately, the game is still very linear, so the various stages will be very similar from one game to the next.
