Valorant: Premier’s most popular picks
With the end of the Global Open Beta for Premier, the entry platform to the competitive Valorant scene, aspiring pro players and their teams will now enter a new phase, called the Ignition Series. But first, it’s worth analyzing: what were the most popular picks in this first phase of Premier?
Among the various agents and the many weapons currently available in Riot Games’ FPS, which were the most chosen among the players who participated in the Valorant Global Open Beta, a competitive in-game platform that promises to reveal many big names in the professional game scene?
Most popular agents
Perhaps mirroring Valorant’s pro championships, Premiere’s Global Open Beta players’ top picks are very similar to pro players’ picks.
In first place, with 12.8% of the players’ picks, was Agent Jett, one of the most popular duelists in the game, perhaps even the most popular. Her winning stats are pretty good too, winning 50.6% of the time she’s picked, according to data from the Blitz.gg website.
Check out the Top 10:
- Jett
- Killjoy
- Omen
- Sova
- Skye
- Sage
- Raze
- Reyna
- Breach
- Brimstone
The least chosen agent, however, was Yoru, with only 0.9% of the players’ choice. His win rate is also the lowest: 41.7%.
The most effective weapons
When we talk about weapons in Valorant, of course, the most effective are the most popular. And during Premier’s Global Open Beta, it was no different: the Operator did the most damage, with a kill rate per match of 0.8 and an average damage of 131.6.
The curiosity here is the fact that a total of 10 weapons had an average of 0 kills per match, so these 7 weapons are the most effective:
- Operator
- Odin
- Marshal
- Ares
- Guardian
- Classic
- Bulldog
How Valorant’s Premier works
With Premier, it is possible to create teams, with customization of colors and logos, for official competitions within Valorant, which earn points that can classify teams for special in-game tournaments.
The new competitive system, according to Leo Farias, head of the eSports division of Valorant, will also be the path for teams to professional championships, such as “Challengers”, making it the “path to become professional”.
According to Leo, it will be through Premier that teams will be able to compete in the “Challengers” tournaments of their divisions and, thus, make their way to the main championship of Valorant: the “Champions”.
Ignition Series
The Premier Ignition Series resets the formation of teams created in the Global Open Beta, so each of these teams will have to register again, this time with a lot more care in choosing the name, as it cannot be changed later.
The Ignition Series will run from July 20th to August 12th, with all of its history moving into the final Premier release, also in August.
