Twitch tests sponsored subscriptions with discounts for viewers
Making money with a live streaming channel, regardless of the content displayed, is the goal of every creator who ventures into this market and on Twitch, there are several monetization opportunities, channel subscriptions being the main one.
And to further encourage channel subscriptions, Twitch is testing a way for sponsors to offer discounts to platform users for subscribing to their favorite channels, in exchange for, of course, greater exposure for their brand.
After another Subtember, a month in which Twitch itself offers discounts on subscriptions to any of its channels, now the Amazon live streaming platform also offers discounts on subscriptions offered by sponsors.
As Zach Bussey, journalist and streamer, pointed out on his X account (formerly Twitter), Amazon Games is sponsoring some channels, offering a 50% discount on channel subscriptions.
As seen in the advertising text, discounts are limited to up to 1500 new channel subscriptions. Gift subscription limit is 100 per user.
Twitch is actively testing "Sponsored Sub-Discounts."

In this case, Amazon Games has sponsored up to 1,500 subs, reducing their cost by 50%. (First-month self-paid subs, as well as gifted subs.)

The discount offer sponsored by Amazon Games runs until November 10th or when the registration limit is reached.
According to Zach Bussey, sponsorship is limited to a few channels, such as Gothalion, Towelliee, Sacriel and Anthony Kongphan.
The future of sponsored subscriptions on Twitch
The offer of discounts on registrations through sponsors on Twitch, as we have already pointed out, is in the testing phase and is limited to a few channels. The future of this new advertising and billing tool for the platform’s content creators is not yet known.
If the new sponsorship system becomes official, big brands will be able to invest directly in specific creators to enhance their products for their target audience, while helping to increase the revenue of streamers on the Amazon platform.
