Twitch: “GTA V” is the most popular game of April
Every month, two games compete for the title of most popular on Twitch: “GTA V” and “League of Legends”. For the month of April, “GTA V” won the dispute and surpassed “League of Legends” as the most watched game on Amazon’s live streaming platform.
According to a report by the website StreamsCharts, the popular Rockstar Games title had a total of 107.52 million hours watched in April, just under 2 million more than “League of Legends”, which ended the 4th month of 2023 with 105.90 million hours assisted.
The numbers follow a drop in total Twitch viewership, with “GTA V” losing 4% from the previous month and “League of Legends” dropping 14.5% in hours watched during the month.
While the Top 10 of the most popular categories and games on Twitch remains about the same, there is a new addition: “Rust”. In April, the title garnered 28.9 million hours watched, thanks to multiple Japanese streamers.
“Rust” is expected to continue to be hot in May, thanks to the Twitch Rivals Rust tournament featuring several top streamers.

xQc leads among the most popular streamers on Twitch
With a week of ban in April, Kai Cenat left the top positions among the most popular streamers on Twitch, which continues with xQc in the lead.
With 15.17 million hours watched, 17% more than the previous month, xQc once again secured the top spot among the biggest streamers on Twitch, with the Brazilian streamer Gaules in second place, once again.
Kai Cenat, record holder for monthly subscriptions on Amazon’s live streaming platform, was ranked 7th in March and dropped out of the Top 10 in April, making room for other popular streamers to feature among Twitch’s top streamers.
