Top Female Streamers on Twitch and YouTube Gaming
March 8th is International Women’s Day. And on this day, we celebrate here the greatest female streamers in the current Twitch and YouTube Gaming scene, for all their hard work and hours of entertainment for their audience.
The gaming live streaming scene is still heavily dominated by male names and is still far from being a totally safe place for women to feel comfortable appearing, but several female names have been transforming this sector of the industry.
Even with numbers still below the biggest male names in the gaming live streaming market, women already have a good share of this industry and the biggest of them continue to foster this scenario for more and more women to become streamers.
The Women on Twitch
Twitch is one of the top platforms for female streamers. With several tools that promise greater protection from possible attacks of all kinds, female streamers are already strong names on Amazon’s streaming platform.
The biggest one, in February 2023, was Rivers_GG, for the second consecutive month. The Mexican streamer earned a total of 2.17 million hours watched in the second month of the year, an increase of 28% compared to January, according to the StreamCharts website report.
Amouranth, the queen of Twitch for several months, followed in second place in February with a total of 1.71 million hours watched.

The biggest female streamer of YouTube Gaming
While Twitch already has a well-developed and growing female streamer scene, on YouTube Gaming only one female name appears among the top streamers on the platform: Pekora.
The Japanese VTuber streamer is one of the top 10 gamers on Google’s video platform.
In February, Pekora ranked as the 4th top gaming streamer on YouTube, with 2.20 million hours watched, and is the only woman in the top 10 gaming streamers on the platform.
