The Streamer Awards 2023 dominates Twitch viewership

Last Saturday, February 11th, The Streamer Awards 2023 took place and crowned Kai Cenat as the Streamer of the Year. But the awards itself has a lot to celebrate, as the event dominated the Twitch audience and secured new personal bests for QTCinderella.

With names like TenZ, Kyedae and Jerma985 among the winners, the awards show arrived in its second edition celebrating the best of the live streaming industry.

And this event can already be considered one of the biggest of the streaming era, as it reached a peak of 580,159 concurrent users watching the broadcast, with an average of 426,670, according to information from the Stream Charts website.

That number put QTCinderella’s channel, creator and co-host of the awards, straight into top 10 most popular on Twitch, with The Streamer Awards 2023 broadcast being her biggest live stream to date.

If we add the channels that transmitted the event, the event’s viewership numbers are even more impressive, reaching 1.31 million total users.

This number makes The Streamer Awards 2023 the second biggest awards show on Twitch, second only to Premios ESLAND 2023, organized by streamer The Grefg and which celebrates the Spanish streaming community. The Hispanic event drew a record 1.75 million viewers.

The Growth of The Streamer Awards

The huge audience of The Streamer Awards 2023 shows an impressive growth in relation to the first edition of the awards, which took place in 2022. And this is not even a surprise, given the growth in investment for the production of the event.

In its first year, the awards show had a peak audience of 380 thousand users, that is, in 2023, the growth was 152%.

The QTCinderella channel, which invested no less than US$900,000 in this year’s awards (US$200,000 were invested in the first edition), gained 55,000 new followers.
