The Mobius Machine: Set on an adventure in this new indie Metroidvania title
Indie metroidvania titles have been popular recently and day by day new games are coming out. As metroidvanias not only offer gamers fun to play experiences but also fun to watch, many streamers choose to play metroidvanias in their livestreams.
The Mobius Machine is the next indie metroidvania title we’ll be discussing. Is it worth and fun to play and suitable for a livestream?
Carve your path through a vast alien world in The Mobius Machine
The Mobius Machine is a 2.5D metroidvania game. You will be exploring the vast alien world while fighting with aliens and trying to find necessary upgrades to progress just as the other titles of the genre.
The Mobius Machine does its job well. It has an interesting concept, fun mechanics, which reminds some of the classic Metroid games, such as Samus Returns, with free camera controls. Platforming and exploring is also fun.
But I can’t say that there are new elements for the metroidvania genre. While The Mobius Machine is fun and a solid game experience, this is just another metroidvania title. If you’re searching for a metroidvania game, then you will have a great time playing it, but if you’re a gamer who loves to see new mechanics and such, then it may be a disappointment for you.
Still, tracking game map and solving puzzles while fighting with aliens is fun and fun to watch. I don’t think it’s a boring game although some of the parts of the game could lose the tempo. New upgrades and boss fights try to increase the game’s tempo and they are very succesfull on it.
Into the depths of the Mining Grounds and up to the Floating Forests
The Mobius Machine doesn’t offer a great storyline to follow. The concept is fine, the graphics and atmosphere look good and there are some fun dialogs to read it. So while I can appreciate the theme of the game, I have to say that you should expect a game which mainly focuses on its gameplay.
The Mobius Machine offers you 6-8 hours of gameplay, which is quite acceptable for a metroidvania but don’t expect to create too many livestreams chains with The Mobius Machine. There is not enough content for it and once you finish the game, it’s done.
I’ve tested The Mobius Machine’s PC version on STEAM and it works perfectly. I didn’t come across any glitches, crashes or even FPS drops. Even though it’s a 2.5D game, still works perfectly fine and you don’t need to worry about its performance
The Mobius Machine
Summary
The Mobius Machine is a another indie 2.5D metroidvania title and while it doesn’t offer us a pure new metroidvania experience, still fun to play and watch thanks to its fun mechanics, explorable world and smooth gameplay.
