We love building factories and making them automated, and Starground is a fantastic new addition to this genre. Spending hours creating your factory like you would in games like Satisfactory, Factorio and even Forager. Since these types of games are fun and have a high potential for replayability, they are also suitable for live broadcasts. Do You Want to Be Automated?

Starground is an indie factory/base-building and dungeon crawling game combined with a 2D art style. In this game, you will be collecting materials around the world and building things to upgrade your factory. Build your factory alone on the planet, or find a friend who can accompany you on your adventure.

A Factory Game for All Players

There are specific gamers and streamers whose favorite game genre is factory/base building, and Starground aims to be one of the genre’s most successful titles. The gameplay is fluid, and the systems are complex enough to keep gamers engaged. Even if you’re not a hardcore fan of this genre, you can still enjoy it since it’s not as complicated as other titles.

Starground Shines in Live Streams

As Starground does its job well, it becomes much easier to recommend playing it in a live stream. Factory/base building games are suitable for live streams because of their ability to keep the gamer engaged, and of course, with the gamer, the audience follows, offering hours of gameplay.

You can try to build a serious factory, automate systems, and maybe chill out for fun or just kill time with your audience. In every scenario, I’m sure that you and your audience will have fun.

Although it is still in its early stages of development and needs more content, Starground can still be tried and enjoyed for hours. Once more dungeons, items, materials, and other features are added, the game will become much more engaging.

Resources, Factories, Dungeons… Whatever You’re Looking For!

As it’s not a single-player campaign-focused game, don’t expect a story that will make you emotional or eager to follow a storyline. It’s a factory-building game, so you’ll be searching for materials, fighting enemies, and building things. There’s not much to discuss about the story.

However, we can still discuss the art style of the game. While Starground’s 2D art style looks nice and sharp, there are still details to be added. A little bit of texture for the game area and similar enhancements would make Starground look much more attractive.

Replayability and Performance of Starground

Talking about replayability, Starground is a game you can play again and again without getting bored. Replayability is one of the best parts of Starground. Build a factory and didn’t like it? Then build another. You can just keep playing it. Starground can provide you with a huge amount of playtime.

I’ve tested Starground’s PC version on Steam and it works perfectly fine—no serious glitches or crash issues. I just couldn’t find a resolution setting but I don’t think it will cause you any problems. Compared to games that don’t even have video settings, Starground looks and works perfectly fine.
