Do you remember the times that streamers played games like Outlast and would run around screaming? Yes, it was fun times and enjoyable streams but it was also ten years ago. Although this genre still has potential for being suitable for streams, games like Shame Legacy, with its outdated game style, short gameplay and not having bright ideas, can’t offer a good horror experience for a stream.

Shame Legacy is an indie single-player survival horror game. You are playing as a man who is looking for his lost daughter in an abandoned village. You have to escape from villagers and solve puzzles in Shame Legacy.

An horror game experience that is not special and not even scary

Although it sounds good to play a horror game in your stream and have some high tensioned moments, Shame Legacy doesn’t offer anything new, special or even scary moments for horror game genre.

In Shame Legacy’s gameplay sequences, you’re just running in corridors, sneaking into some villagers and solving simple puzzles in your 1-2 hour gameplay.

And even in this short gameplay time, tempo always remains the same. There are just a few moments that you can get excited and scared with your audience.

Shame Legacy is not suitable for a live stream

In a horror game with your audience, you have to be on your edge while surviving in the game’s world. That’s what makes a horror game worth playing in a live stream. But sometimes, in Shame Legacy, you don’t even have to look at your screen. You can just keep pressing buttons while talking with your chat.

As a boring experience, it can’t create a enjoyable live stream. Its story and atmosphere are far from being a scary experience for you and your audience.

Shame Legacy lacks creativity and being a enjoyable game, but it works pretty smoothly. I tested Shame Legacy’s PC version on STEAM and I can say that it has no big problems such as crashes or glitches.

But as I said before, game suffers from its gameplay time. It only offers you up to 1 or 2 hour of gameplay. And once it’s finished, there’s no reason to turn back as it’s a story-based single-player game.
