Persona 5 Tactica: Strategy and nothing else!
Atlus is not yet ready to say goodbye to Persona 5 and the Phantom Thieves saga now reaches a new stage in Persona 5 Tactica. Yes, this time, the gameplay is strategy.
Persona 5 Tactica has action, but a lot of talk
With a super colorful look, super well done animations and character designs that are more Chibi than what is presented in the main game, Persona 5 Tactica delivers a top-notch strategy experience, taking clear and strong inspirations from the Mario + Rabbids games, but that’s it.
Of course, when we talk about RPGs, especially J-RPGs, we expect a lot of dialogue and a dense plot that permeates the entire game. And we have plenty of that in Persona 5 Tactica. But the new game in the popular Persona franchise fails to offer other moments with different gameplay.
Here, the focus is on strategy. The player is not faced with moments of exploring the world or any other moment in which he can control the characters. The gameplay here is only in battle, in tactics.
Yes, preparing for battle is part of the game and the player must carefully put together his strategy to be successful. Equipment, skills and the famous Personas are part of this preparation.
To compensate for this “lack of exploration”, which is part of the original game, Persona 5 Tactica also has additional quests. Here they are scenarios where the player needs to meet certain requirements to win.
A little slow for a live stream
Persona 5 Tactica is a great strategy and RPG game, but its slower pace, where the player spends more time watching dialogues than actually battling, could end up being a negative point for a live stream.
It’s worth saying that, if you’re already used to featuring strategy and RPG games on your channel and your audience receives them positively, this game is an essential title for your channel.
Available on the Xbox Game Pass catalogue, Persona 5 Tatica is a great game and should leave fans of the Atlus franchise well fed before Persona 6, a title that has been widely anticipated for some time.
Despite its slightly slower pace and the lack of elements that make the Persona franchise one of the most popular today, such as the building of relationships between the characters, Persona 5 Tactica is a title that falls more into the relaxing genre than that of action.
Persona 5 Tactica
Summary
Persona 5 Tactica is a great game, without a doubt, but with its slow pace, with a lot of dialogue and no moments of exploration of world, the player finds himself in control only in battles, those, indeed, bring a great experience of strategy and tactics.
Just another gamer guy…
