Overwatch 2: What to expect from Season 6
Overwatch 2 is about to enter a new and highly anticipated stage. With the arrival of Season 6, Blizzard‘s shooter will bring some good news to players. But what can we expect from the new season of the game?
The start of Overwatch 2 Season 6
With the countdown to the end of Season 5 already started, Overwatch 2 players are already starting to think about the next phase of the shooter. According to Blizzard itself, Season 6, called Invasion and long awaited by the players, will begin on August 10th.
The start times for the new season have also been announced:
- 23:45 IST (Indian Standard Time)
- 11:15 PT (Pacific Time)
- 21:15 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)
- 20:15 CEST (Central European Summer Time)
- 16:15 ET (Eastern Time)
- 13:00 CT (Central Time)
Its duration, however, is still uncertain, but if it follows the same duration as past seasons, Season 6 should last about two months, that is, officially ending sometime in October.
New features of Season 6
Overwatch 2 Season 6 will bring the long-awaited PvE mode, where players will complete missions and learn even more about the game’s narrative. The stories presented are part of the canonical lore of the Blizzard shooter and these missions will also bring new gameplay mechanics.
With the new season, the game will also introduce co-op missions and a new PvP mode called Flashpoint.
For those who like new characters, a new support hero is also expected to be introduced in Season 6. This will be the game’s 10th support hero.
