The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages Seasons

Nintendo Switch Online adds two The Legend of Zelda Gameboy games

Retro games are always popular on live streaming platforms, appealing to both streamer and audience nostalgia. And Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will now be able to enjoy two classic games from The Legend of Zelda franchise, originally released for Gameboy Color.

Nintendo has officially announced the update to the catalog of its online subscription service, adding two The Legend of Zelda games: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons.

About the games

Both titles in The Legend of Zelda franchise, now in the Nintendo Switch Online catalogue, were originally released in 2001 for the Gameboy Color and later made available for the Nintendo 3DS via the Virtual Console.

They are spin-offs from the main line of games in the franchise and were developed by Flagship, a subsidiary of Capcom.

The “Oracle” series games are some of the least played of the entire The Legend of Zelda franchise and with their arrival on the Nintendo Switch, one of the most popular Big N consoles, it is expected that both games will be rediscovered by the community.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages

Following the time travel line already quite famous in The Legend of Zelda franchise, in Oracle of Ages you can manipulate time in your fight against Veran, the Shadow Sorceress, a villain who wants to plunge the land of Labrynna into an endless night.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons

In Oracle of Seasons, Link fights General Onox. The adventure takes place in the land of Holodrum and Link can change the seasons in order to prevent the land from dying. Season changes are directly tied to gameplay in Oracle of Seasons, with Link being able to freeze a lake by changing the season to winter.
