Nightfeed follows the wave of Roguelike action games, but it doesn’t innovate or excite
Especially after the huge success of the game Vampire Survivors, it was to be expected that clones of the game would appear, some just copying the mechanics and others with their own ideas. In Nightfeed we have a game that tries to bring something new, but which still needs more polishing and adjustments.
Nightfeed’s generic theme and characters don’t help
The game uses the theme of classic night creatures, such as vampires, werewolves and Van Hellsing-style creature hunters. Unfortunately, not even its most original characters have a more distinctive style, personality or go beyond what has already been seen in various media.
The same goes for the maps and enemies, which end up falling on the generic side, with waves of enemies that, amidst the clutter of powers and attacks, become almost the same.
Little variation in abilities also hurts the game. Each character has their own passive ability and active ability, which is very nice and gives you a reason to switch between the characters you prefer, but it’s not enough to get you excited after several repeated play sessions.
The fact that the items you pick up in chests are random and have no choice limits the player in the possibility of creating a build, i.e. a combination of items that will allow you to become very strong. That’s the greatest charm of these types of games: figuring out how to combine items and characters well. This greatly reduces replayability.
Uninspired music and interface
Unfortunately, both the menu and the music are uninspiring. They are simple and forgettable, making even short areas, such as the first 10-minute survival area, slow and repetitive. This doesn’t bode well for a streamer who is going to cover Nightfeed, as he would have a much harder time holding his audience in a game with this pace.
Nightfeed is only available in English. Although translation isn’t really necessary, it can make access difficult for some players and streamers.
I tested it on PC via steam and the game ran well, but it can be a bit heavy if you use the highest graphics settings, so be aware of the requirements.

User Review
( votes)Summary
In the end, Nightfeed remains a Vampire Survivors clone that tries to innovate, but needs more polish. I can see that it’s a work that the developer wants to improve and bring more authenticity to, but in its current state, during this review, it seems to me to be a game in early access that still needs more time and identity.
