LOUD: My Trip to Japan

LOUD: My Trip to Japan DLC – The indie Rock Star arrives in Japan

LOUD: My Road to Fame is an Indie Rhythm Arcade Game, developed and published by Hyperstrange, released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox X/S, and PC.

In LOUD, we experience the story of Astrid, who, through what she loves most, music, goes on a journey of self-knowledge, seeking to understand how to face adolescence with the support of her family and trying to fulfill her dream of becoming a Rock Star.

With the new DLC “My Trip to Japan”, we continue her story as a Rock Star while we live her newest tour in Japanese lands!

Great songs were added to the Game

The new DLC adds a new arc to Astrid’s campaign: We experience her trip to Japan, in which her record company signs a contract and she participates in songs with local bands.

This adds to the game a total of 7 more Songs: 6 new Songs for the Campaign and an extra one released after completing the previous ones (the extra song is added in the “Free to Play” option).

As well as new songs, there is also the addition of a new outfit, a guitar, and a stage, all themed on the famous Cherry Blossoms, trees traditionally associated with Japan.

It is worth mentioning that unlike the base game, where most of the songs were instrumental only, in the DLC all songs contain vocals, with great performances by the bands Re:NO, MUTANT MONSTER, BABYBEARD, and DOLL PARTS.

Perfectly Challenging New Content

As a DLC, “My Trip to Japan” is designed for those who have already completed the base game, so its campaign is a direct continuation, and the default difficulty of the songs is intended for players who have already gotten used to it.

All 6 songs in the Campaign have an accessible difficulty for Rhythm Game veterans, while the 7th song, like the 3 “Extra” Songs from the base game, is much more difficult and will demand everything from the player.

In terms of Gameplay, the DLC is identical to the base game. You have access to a standard difficulty, for which you need to get an “S” rank in order to gain access to the Grindin’ mode of that same song. You can also change Astrid’s guitar and clothing as you prefer during the game.

LOUD: Still perfect for Live Stream

For this review, the PC version was analyzed.

LOUD is a low-spec game, it remains a very smooth experience to perform live streaming as it does not require advanced hardware.

And by adding 7 songs, it’s perfect to check out in Live Stream, even more so if you combine it with the base game, which already contained 21 Songs, thus having a total of 28 songs.

As all songs in the DLC are performed by talented bands, the probability of the audience engaging is very high as well.
