League of Legends: Naafiri, the leader of the pack
With more than 10 years of history, League of Legends remains firm and strong as today’s main MOBA and launching new features to meet the desires of its player base, while attracting new ones, seems to be one of the main concerns of the developers of this Riot Games title. And with that mission, arrives Naafiri, the leader of the pack.
After several rumors, speculations and even leaks, Naafiri was made official by Riot Games as the 164th League of Legends champion. And it arrives with a mission: to charm and attract novice players of this MOBA game.
Naafiri, a Darkin assassin
Yes, Naafiri is a canine monster. She is a mid-lane Darkin assassin who has agile and dynamic mechanics, which should be very positive for players without much experience in League of Legends.
And she doesn’t come alone.
Naafiri is actually the leader of a pack of canine monsters. Her pack is composed of up to 3 monsters, with respawn time after being defeated, which have freedom and autonomy to attack and move on the map, while, at the same time, respond swiftly to the player’s skill commands.
The new champion has a medium range field and simple gameplay, to please both novice and veteran players.
Naafiri’s Abilities
As a mid-lane assassin, Naafiri’s focus is on her agility. The new champion has a good possibility of inflicting damage and also mobility, using her skills both to get faster to an enemy, to cross obstacles or even to escape from an almost lost battle.
Passive – We Are More: Naafiri spawns Packmates that attack the targets of her attacks and abilities.
Q – Darkin Dagger: Naafiri hurls up to two daggers, each inflicting bleed, or each inflicting bonus damage if the target is already bleeding. Packmates leap to attack champions hit by this skill.
W – Hounds’ Pursuit: Naafiri and her packmates dash at an enemy, colliding with the first champion hit and dealing damage.
E – Eviscerate: Naafiri dashes and damages enemies in an area, recalling and healing her Packmates to full.Â
R – The Call of the Pack: Naafiri empowers her pack and spawns additional Packmates, gaining a burst of speed and vision and a shield when she attacks a champion. On first champion takedown, all effects are refreshed.
Naafiri: a brief analysis
On a visit to Riot Games headquarters in Los Angeles, Gamohol experienced Naafiri firsthand in different game modes of League of Legends. And the result could not be different: the new champion has great agility and simple gameplay, which can be the differential to hook a newbie in the game.
Her pack of dogs, which can reach up to 5 with Naafiri’s maximum skill, has an independence that can facilitate the inexperienced player to advance through the map, while creating his own strategy for battles against enemies, using the power of their “minions”.
Naafiri is a character that should stand out a lot in battles from her launch, in League of Legends update 13.14. And if you’re wondering if you can pet her, the answer is yes. And the animation for this interaction with the champion is as cute as you can imagine!
Just another gamer guy…
