Kick streamer breaks record for longest live stream without sleeping

The world is full of records, from the most impressive to the craziest. And the universe of streamers now has a new record for the longest live without sleeping, thanks to GiftedPrime, from Kick.

Anthony Valentin, GiftedPrime’s given name, set a new record for the longest live stream without sleep breaks on Kick: it was 164 hours, almost 7 full days of sleepless livestream, playing GTA Online.

The new record breaks the mark set two years ago* by Twitch’s ThisFudginGuy, who went live for 162 hours without sleeping.

“I did this for me and no one else,” stated GiftedPrime in a post on X (formerly Twitter). “I like challenging myself and I felt I could do it. I also didn’t use any caffeine or energy supplements, water and Gatorade only. I suffer from server insomnia and I’m adhd, I personally do not recommend anyone to do this as it’s unhealthy and dangerous!”

Recognition of the streamer’s new record

After the achievement, which was even celebrated by the previous record holder, ThisFudginGuy, the question that remains is: what about the recognition from the Guinness Book, the Book of Records, in relation to the streamer GiftedPrime’s new record?

To that question, ThisFudginGuy himself has the answer.

As he explained, in a message on the GiftedPrime broadcast on Kick, “Guinness Book wanted me to pay someone to review the 162 hours of footage which I wasn’t doing out of pocket”.

There is yet another reason: the Guinness Book does not accept these sleepless record challenges because of the health risks, as GiftedPrime himself explained.

In the end, ThisFudginGuy even joked, stating that he needs to go back to doing live broadcasts to break GiftedPrime’s new record. Is there a not-so-healthy dispute for records between streamers coming?

*According to ThisFudginGuy himself, his record was achieved at least 5 years ago, despite all the international press placing the record as two years ago.
