Kick continues to grow and sets a new audience record in September
Another month ends and once again Kick shows its strength in the battle of streaming platforms, setting a new audience record in September.
Officially launched in January this year, with a large investment from an online betting platform, Kick is currently Twitch’s main competitor and continues to conquer more of the billion-dollar live streaming market.
According to data from the StreamsCharts website, Kick grew again in September and surpassed the mark of 106 million hours watched during the month. The number represents an increase of 3% compared to the previous month, when the platform achieved more than 100 million hours watched for the first time.
Viewers x Streamers
Kick’s growth in hours watched, of course, was also driven by the increase in audience. According to data released by the StreamsCharts website, the platform saw a 129% growth in peak viewers in September, reaching 981,385.
The increase in viewers also boosted the platform’s average, which reached 147,727, an increase of 6% compared to the previous month.
Despite this, Kick lost in the number of active channels, that is, streamers. According to the September result, the platform lost 6% of its active channels, now remaining at 128,155.
This drop was also observed in the average number of channels and the peak number of channels, which stood at 2,464 and 3,046, respectively, in September.
Kick’s biggest streamers
Even with streamers from practically the entire planet, it is still the American names that stand out on Kick. Adinross, one of the first streamers to invest in Kick, remains the most popular name on the platform, ending the month of September with 7.43 million hours watched.
xQc, who was always among the most popular on Twitch, appears in September as the 4th most watched streamer on Kick.
