Kai Cenat threatens to leave Twitch if banned again

It seems that Kai Cenat is finally tired of the treatment received by Twitch and after being temporarily banned by the platform, the streamer, one of the biggest on Amazon’s live streaming platform, threatens to leave it for good if he is banned again.

The practice of temporary and permanent bans on Twitch is heavily criticized, especially as it is something that streamers still do not understand fully, due to the fact that some get away with certain practices considered “prohibited” and others do not.

In the case of Kai Cenat, the streamer was banned on Twitch a total of 5 times, two of them only in this year 2023. The last time happened in April and lasted a week.

And in a recent broadcast, with BruceDropEmOff and YourRage, Kai Cenat expressed his frustration and threatened to leave Twitch if he receives a new ban on his channel.

“I feel like if I get banned one more time, I’m off the f*ckin’ platform for good,” said Kai Cenat.

Twitch and Kick fight for Kai Cenat

Kai Cenat’s frustration is no wonder. The streamer is the record holder for the number of subscribers in a month on Twitch, a mark achieved after a very successful Subathon in February of this year, 2023.

As one of Twitch’s biggest streamers, Kai is the current topic of dispute between Amazon’s live streaming platform and its current rising competitor, Kick.

The threat to leave Twitch made by Kai Cenat may have added fuel to this dispute and Kick seems to be ready to receive the streamer, if he decides to leave Twitch for good.

It is worth remembering that two great Kick banners have already publicly demonstrated their desire to have Kai on the new platform. Kick co-founder Trainwreck and Adin Ross have already introduced Kai to all the benefits of the new platform, including better revenue sharing and, of course, the promise to never get banned.
