Kick

Just like Twitch, Kick also grew in Active Channels in November

More active channels and a higher peak of viewers generate more hours watched, correct? If we look at the November results from Twitch and now from Kick, not necessarily, as both platforms grew in Active Channels but lost in total monthly hours watched.

Despite a drop, even if small, in the monthly total of hours watched, it is possible to see that the live streaming market still generates a lot of interest, especially if we look at the results for the months of October and November on both Kick and Twitch.

At Kick, in November, the October result was repeated and the platform, currently a direct competitor to Twitch, closed the month with a 9% growth in total Active Channels, reaching 141,684, according to the website StreamsCharts.

With more channels in activity, the number of Average Active Channels and Peak Active Channels on the platform also grew, as did its Average Viewers and Peak Viewers.

Despite the good result, Kick observed a slight drop in the total number of hours watched, even with all these active channels and viewers, reaching 104,190,260 hours watched in November. This number represents a drop of 0.19% compared to October.

Kick’s most popular games

With a large investment in an online casino website, in addition to the “Just Chatting” category, betting and casino games are Kick’s main highlight, ranking second overall and first when it comes to game categories.

Despite the freedom that many do not have on Twitch, to broadcast so-called “games of chance”, the total number of hours watched in this category fell in November, reaching 19.48 million hours watched, 6.08% less than in October.

Just like on Twitch, Fortnite also stood out among Kick’s most popular games, jumping from 9th position in October to 3rd in November, with a total of 7.82 million hours watched.

If we ignore the “Just Chatting” category and Online Casino, which can encompass countless different games, Fortnite is Kick’s most popular game title in November.
