Controversy surrounding “Hogwarts Legacy”

Despite being highly anticipated, “Hogwarts Legacy” also ended up becoming the main object of controversy involving “Harry Potter” author JK Rowling and her constant transphobic comments.

Many viewers and even some streamers began to support and publicize a boycott of the game, to the point that Warner Bros. Games had to inform, on their official website, that Rowling had no involvement in the game beyond the licensing of their characters and universe created for the “Harry Potter” saga.

In the early days of the game on Twitch, some streamers were attacked by viewers who supported the boycott, causing unease among content creators who played “Hogwarts Legacy”.
