In early access, Starfield hits half a million viewers on Twitch

Starfield will only be officially released on September 6th, but some players, who purchased some of the premium versions of the game, exclusive to Xbox and PC, are already enjoying it, which is in its early access, and the new Bethesda title is already one of the most popular on Twitch, reaching an audience of over half a million viewers on its first day.

Starfield’s early access officially started this Thursday, August 31st (September 1st in some places), and as one of the most anticipated games of the year, the title attracted a huge audience, taking it to the top of the most watched games from Twitch. Overall, Starfield was second only to the Just Chatting category.

Despite the small number of players, Starfield’s early access ensured a great debut on Steam, with a peak of 234,502 concurrent players on the platform, which is the main platform for computer games.

According to SteamDB, Starfield is one of the top 10 most popular games on Steam right now.

Bethesda’s latest title lags a little behind recent releases from the studio, Skyrim and Fallout 4, but it’s important to remember that it’s currently in early access and that number is set to grow exponentially upon its official launch, especially with its entry. on Xbox Game Pass on day one.

On Twitch, the numbers are also huge and impressive. On this first day of early access alone, Starfield has already secured more than 3.5 million hours watched and a peak audience of 550,654.

The peak number of channels broadcasting the game simultaneously on Amazon’s live streaming platform was 10,536, according to data from the StreamCharts website.

Twitch numbers place Starfield as one of Bethesda’s most popular titles on the platform. Compared to recent releases from the studio: Skyrim, the latest entry in The Elder Scrolls franchise, peaked at 197,907 viewership, and Fallout 4 peaked at 244,138 viewership on Twitch.
