GTA V was the most watched game of 2022 on major streaming platforms
Statistics help society to follow the best path and in the streaming community, this data shows how games and content creators are performing. That said, in a new report released this week, it was found that “GTA V” was the most watched game of 2022 on the main platforms.
The report was produced by the website Stream Hatchet and enshrined the game “GTA V” as the most popular on the three main streaming platforms: Twitch, Facebook Gaming and YouTube Gaming.
This is not the first time that the title has been consecrated as the most watched game on streaming, “GTA V” has been at the top of that list since the 4th quarter of 2020.
In 2022, Rockstar’s game won no less than 1.82 billion hours watched, spread across the three biggest streaming platforms. The number, however, was not so much higher than the second place in the ranking: “League of Legends”, which ended 2022 with 1.77 billion hours watched.
Highlight for mobile games
In the report by the Stream Hatchet website, it is also worth highlighting the mobile games market. Titles from this genre were the highlight on YouTube Gaming, representing 80% of the platform’s content.
In the ranking of the 10 most watched games of 2022, however, only one mobile game appears on the list: “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang”. Despite this, the mobile gaming market has also strengthened in streaming thanks to mobile versions of successful games such as “Fortnite” and “Genshin Impact”.
