Godzilla Voxel Wars: Godzilla meets up with turn-based strategy
Turn-based puzzle strategy table games, such as Hitman Go or Lara Croft GO, want you to analyse the game area and do your moves carefully.
But today, Godzilla is in charge. Godzilla Voxel Wars is coming for those who love playing turn-based strategy games and streaming them.
Run, it’s Godzilla!
Godzilla Voxel Wars is a turn-based strategy game in which you have to analyse your area and make your moves carefully. But now you’re controlling Godzilla and its allies.
Godzilla Voxel Wars is a perfect match for those who want to create a more focused and relaxing live stream. While playing Godzilla Voxel Wars, you can try to make good moves in-game while chatting with your audience or you can debate how to get a full star in a level with them.
But I still need to mention that if turn-based strategy puzzle games are not your genre, I can’t fully recommend Godzilla Voxel Wars to you, even though it does have some elements to attract casual players. Those elements are just not enough to gather all the players.
If we’re talking about Godzilla Voxel Wars’s gameplay more detailed for a player who’s interested in this genre, we can say it is a solid turn-based strategy game experience. There are stars to collect and limited turns for each level and all of them are well designed.
Even though I’m not a hardcore turn-based strategy game professional, I can easily say that Godzilla Voxel Wars works perfect and does what it has to do.
We don’t have to run, they’re just toys
Of course as a puzzle game Godzilla Voxel Wars focuses much more to its gameplay than any other elements but there are still things to talk about. Especially for casual players who want to enjoy it more.
Godzilla Voxel Wars looks amazing with its voxel styled art design and with the remixed themes of original Godzilla, everything becomes much more enjoyable to watch and play.
Those strategy games’s stories are never the main point of the experience, but there are little additions, such as cutscenes and collectables, for telling its lore. You wouldn’t want to play this game especially for those additions, but they’re worth to mention.
When we examine Godzilla Voxel Wars in terms of replayability, it offers good amount of playtime, just as some other strategy games. You can always retry levels in which you couldn’t take full stars.
While the game has 6 worlds and each one of them has 20 levels, you can also create your own levels. This level creation can be a whole different live stream content. Trying to make a well designed and hard level or receiving challenging levels from your audience would be fun.
Performance on the other hand… I’ve tested Godzilla Voxel Wars on STEAM and I haven’t came across any glitches or problems in the game but there are things you may want to know.
The game is locked in 30FPS and although that’s not a big problem, because it’s a solid performance, there are no settings to change any graphical options. I’m especially stating that because yes, I haven’t run into any problems, but you still can. And I’m sure some of you may want to see this game working at higher frame rates.
