Fortnite: Update replaces one of the players’ favorite weapons
As one of the most popular games today, Fortnite is always evolving and a new game patch, which arrived without notice, introduced a new weapon to Epic Games’ battle royale, replacing one of the players’ favorite weapons.
Introduced to the game in Season 1 of Chapter 4, the Red-Eye Assault Rifle quickly became a fixture in battle royale matches, thanks to its long-range aim and damage multiplier for headshots. But now, it has been vaulted.
The decision to vault the Red-Eye Assault Rifle, of course, took players by surprise and caused a bit of controversy, as it was a weapon that was heavily used in battle royale.
To remedy the situation, Epic Games then announced another weapon in place of the Red-Eye Assault Rifle: the MK-Alpha Assault Rifle.
About the MK-Alpha Assault Rifle
The MK-Alpha Assault Rifle is also a ranged weapon, but whether it will have the same popularity as its predecessor remains to be seen, as players will still have to adjust their game strategies with the new equipment.
The new weapon, according to the most avid Fortnite fans, is a reworked version of the MK-Seven Assault Rifle, introduced in Season 1 of Chapter 3. Also according to the most attentive fans, the MK-Alpla Assault Rifle has very similar functionality to Tactical Assault Rifle, with a difference in the type of ammo used and slightly increased damage.
Attributes
Damage: 22 to 28 per shot (154 to 196 damage per second)
Headshot Multiplier: 1.5%
Fortnite has not revealed the reason for the Red-Eye Assault Rifle shelving and it is unknown if the weapon will return to the game in the future.
