Fortnite disables new item in competitive matches
The current season of Fortnite, Season 2 Chapter 4, has been one of the most liked by players, but even so, some bugs force the developer team from Epic Games to disable some new items.
The most recent of them was the ODM Gear, inspired by the anime Attack on Titan, Fortnite’s partnership in the current season. Due to a bug, which prevents the player from using construction tools after using the item, ODM Gear has been disabled from tournament matches and Arena mode in the game.
The item has been disabled to prevent this issue for the Fortnite Champion Series Major 2 Finals, taking place this weekend between May 13th and 14th.
The ODM Gear works similar to Spider-Man’s webs, a previous item in the game, when the player can aim at a structure and throw a grappling hook, quickly taking him there. To supply the mobility options, with the ODM Gear disabled, the Kinectic Blades will appear more frequently on the game map.
There is still no information about the return of ODM Gear to Fortnite.
The next season of Fortnite
After postponement, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 will end on June 9 at 2:00 AM ET. There is still no information on whether there will be an end of season event and when the new season begins.
Rumor has it that the new first-person mode could also be featured in the upcoming season of Epic Games’ popular battle royale.
