Despite competition, Twitch viewership grew in July

Kick may be full steam ahead in its mission to wrest the title of the biggest live streaming platform today from Twitch, but not even that competition, bolstered by big contracts with famous streamers, has diminished the strength of the platform from Amazon, which has seen a growth in its audience in July.

According to data from the Streamcharts website, Twitch achieved a discreet growth in its total hours watched, average audience and even in active channels. On the other hand, the platform lost a little in the peak of live channels.

Twitch viewership growth was 2%, with a total of 1.749 billion hours watched in July. The number was supported by the channel of Spanish streamer ibai, which broadcast the boxing event La Velada del Año III and secured a new peak viewer record, attracting a total of 3.4 million users to its broadcast.

Among women, Mexican rivers_gg continues in the lead, with a total of 3.68 million hours watched. The streamer, in addition to broadcasting Kings League games, also participated in the boxing event La Velada del Año III.
