Dead by Daylight reveals collaboration with the movie “Alien”

As today’s most popular asymmetrical multiplayer, Dead by Daylight continues its successful partnerships and has unveiled the details of its collaboration with the sci-fi horror film franchise “Alien”.

The collaboration, yet another of the game’s major film/TV franchises, will bring a new killer and a new survivor, and yes, if you thought the killer will be the Xenomorph and the survivor Ellen Ripley, you’re right.

Dead by Daylight: Alien comes to the game on August 29th and will also bring a new map: the wreckage of the Nostromo ship.

“It’s the collaboration that has been requested for years. Set against the eerie backdrop of the Nostromo Wreckage, fans will be able to go to the depths of space and try their best to dominate their prey or make it out alive,” developer Behaviour Interactive writes in a press release.

The Xenomorph in Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight’s new killer, the Xenomorph from the “Alien” film franchise, is described by the developers as an offensive assassin who is the embodiment of a stealth killer.

The Xenomorph arrives with a new ability, called Runner Mode, which makes it walk on all fours and become even more stealthy, reducing its Terror Radius.

There is also a new map feature, called Control Stations, where the assassin enters and exits tunnels under the control station. The new feature also allows survivors to obtain a Flame Turret, which can be used to defend against the creature.

These “turrets”, when they hit the Xenomorph, can end its unique power. However, their use has to be done with caution, as they can overheat, requiring repairs, and can also be destroyed by the killer.

The “Alien” film collaboration continues the successful Dead by Daylight crossovers, which include collaborations with “The Ring”, “Hellraiser”, “Stranger Things” and “Saw”.
