“Competition is always good”, says streamer Buddha about the arrival of Kick

In a free market, there are always those who say that competition is good for industry. And in the gaming streamers community, Kick, a new live streaming platform that competes with Twitch, has already arrived promising a lot to creators and, for streamer Buddha, this competition “is always good”.

With a more lenient community policy that will avoid constant bans for no apparent reason, and with a revenue split that favors the streamer, Kick.com promises to be a great platform for Twitch dissidents.

And Buddha, famous streamer of “GTA” RP, the competition between the two platforms is good for community growth and for streamers.

“Like I said, competition is always good. If Twitch starts sweating, that’s, like, good for creators,” said Buddha during one of his recent live streams. “I wish more people saw it that way. I think everybody’s just blinded, like, hate for Trainwreck or whatever. Like I said, people dog Mixer all the time but they don’t really know, like, what Mixer did for a ton of streamers…”

In his live stream, Buddha continued to talk about the market for live streaming platforms and placed YouTube Gaming as a possible threat to Twitch, the current market leader with a great advantage.

The streamer also recalled that the competition generated by Mixer at the time the platform still existed, forced platforms to sign exclusivity contracts with streamers, which generated great revenue for several of these creators.

Kick has to moderate content to attract advertisers

For Buddha, who will broadcast both on Twitch and Kick, the new platform must have greater moderation of its content, to attract a greater number of advertisers.

“I think right now, they need to focus on growth, getting people to migrate, and then moderation and then ads come later,” said Buddha. “The thing is, too, like, people don’t get that Twitch was the same s**t when it first came started, until they figured it out, like, what Kick’s got to figure it out,” added the streamer.
