Casimiro breaks his own record with live stream from the 2022 World Cup on YouTube
The 2022 World Cup is already in its second week and, proving that it is well suited to the new world entertainment scene, it has been a real success in streaming.
The proof of this new era for sports broadcasting is the Brazilian streamer Casimiro, who broke for the second time his own record of simultaneous users in his live during the Brazilian games in the World Cup, now conquering the second live with the highest peak of simultaneous users in the history of YouTube.
Casimiro’s huge numbers
As one of the most popular streamers in Brazil, the numbers conquered by Casimiro in this World Cup are huge. In partnership with FIFA, to broadcast the 2022 World Cup games on YouTube and Twitch, Casimiro has even been competing with the main TV station in the country.
In Brazil’s second game, against Switzerland, Casimiro’s YouTube channel reached a peak of an incredible 5.2 million users connected simultaneously.
The number placed the CazéTV channel transmission behind only Felix Baumgartner’s live stream. The Austrian skydiver, who in 2012 jumped from the Earth’s stratosphere, in a live transmission on YouTube, conquered no less than a peak of 8 million users connected simultaneously.
With the new record, Casimiro now has 2 of the 5 biggest lives on YouTube, based on the number of simultaneous users connected.
Check out the Top 5 of the biggest lives on YouTube:
- Felix Baumgartner (Austria) – 8 million
- CazéTV (Brazil) – 5.2 million
- SpaceX (EUA) – 4 million
- FluTV (Brazil) – 3.59 million
- CazéTV (Brazil) – 3.48 million
It’s worth saying that CazéTV, Casimiro’s channel, was created by the streamer especially for his sports broadcasts on YouTube. Running since 2019, CazéTV now has 3.3 million subscribers.
On Twitch, the Casimito channel follows the results of YouTube and also has 3.3 million followers.
