Boti: Byteland Overclocked will bring a lot of fun to your cooperative adventure
Platform games are already very attractive to the public who watch live streams and if it’s cooperative, then it’s a perfect recipe for a lot of entertainment and that’s what Boti, a very charismatic game, has to offer players and the public who will follow. Let’s explore here more of what our little robots have to offer.
Boti’s cyber adventure has a lot of creativity
Here we have a game that reminds me a little of the adventures we had on older consoles. The game doesn’t waste too much time putting the player in control, without going overboard with story scenes or tutorials.
Boti also allows the second player to immediately connect to the adventure with its DROP IN/OUT system which, for those who don’t know the term, is a mechanic that allows any player 2 to easily join and leave during the stage, which gives a lot of freedom to the player and especially to the streamer, who won’t need to be tied to a second player to enjoy the adventure. However, it’s much more fun together.
Boti’s proposal consists of you advancing in a cybernetic world, which gives the idea that you are inside a computer, passing through zones with references to motherboards, processors, power supply, among others. This makes the game very charming, especially for technology fans who will pick up on many of the well thought references and jokes.
Cooperative play makes the game even better
Boti was very well thought out so that two players could have a very fun experience with simple but well done out puzzles and powers that can help or hinder each other, generating some very funny moments in my livestream. These elements add a lot to the game you plan to stream, as your audience will be able to have a good laugh watching the two little robots sabotage each other.
In addition, the game has lots of cute and fun outfits to unlock on your adventure, rewarding players who like to explore a lot and collect lots of items.
With only eight levels, it may not seem like much, but the levels are quite long, which would be a shame if there were more separate levels. Here, each level can take up to 40 minutes to complete.
A few technical problems, but nothing that affects the experience
During my stream, the game ran at a steady 60 FPS when I played alone. In co-op, the FPS suffers a little, making the experience less fluid. Even though the game isn’t so graphically heavy and my machine has more than enough power to run it, I had this small problem with performance, but nothing that affected the experience too much.
There was also a slight problem with the game’s interface, which wasn’t adjusting for both players, making it impossible to buy upgrades or see some things due to the split screen cutting off part of the menu. However, the developers have listened to the feedback and have now fixed this problem.
The game has been received to be played in the STEAM version, with single player and Local and Online co-op modes, which is very appealing. The game is also translated into 7 languages, which will make it much easier for the public to understand.
