Tower defense but with cavemen

Age Of Defense is a tower defense game. In paleolithic period, with cavemen, you will be defending your tower and their villages. Like most tower defense games, you’ll decide how to set up your soldiers to defend your tower while analyzing your enemies and their speed.

While tower defense games are popular and loved by the both gamers and streamers, it still may a little bit niche for some of you. In the end, tower games are other type of strategy games and real-time action is limited.

So, yes tower defense games are fun and suitable for live streams especially for a live streamer who loves the genre and has ability to create fun moment but also if you love games which is played with real-time action game system, then you would need to search for another game genre.

When we turn our eyes into Age Of Defense again, we clearly see a successful and enjoyable indie tower defense game. There are lots of options for you to defense your tower. Soldiers, special abilities, possible upgrades and of course challenging enemies.

You will be having good time while fighting in paleolithic period deciding what kind of defense you will set for your enemies. Just like game’s description which I like a lot ‘’Big tribe. Big danger! Monster run. Monsters kills tribe. Player defend. Player kill monsters.’’

A Closer Look at the Age of Defense

As a tower defense game, Age Of Defense doesn’t offer us a breathtaking single-player story campaign but there are lots of fun cutscenes and an amazing theme to enjoy. You can see paleolithic period theme everywhere in the game. From menu screen to enemies, enemies to your special abilities. Although this is not a game which tries to offer you a single-player story campaign, I really like the theme and the humor of the game. Arts and sound prepared perfectly.

Age Of Defense is as replayable as most tower defense game. While main levels of the game will amuse you around 5-10 hours depending your gameplay, you can always try new defense set ups for your next run. As a indie tower defense game, it gives you enough content for creating fun live streams.

I’ve tested Age Of Defense’s PC version on STEAM and it runs perfectly most of the time. Although menus work at low frame rates, gameplay isn’t affected and it can offer you smooth gameplay. There are few problems overall and since developers update the game frequently, I don’t think Age Of Defense will cause you problems.
