The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom – A raving success in MMO scene
The Elder Scrolls Online has been part of the scene of ongoing MMOs in the last decade next to big names like World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV. The real difference though, is the fact that by the release of every new DLC, the game continues to rave the success and offer more great content with it. The newest chapter, called Necrom, might be the game’s best expansion in years.
The success of The Elder Scrolls Online
First of all, If you expect it to be anything like Skyrim or other Elder Scrolls games, just don’t buy this game. Elder Scrolls Online is an MMO and it’s a good one. Yet, you can’t expect it to be an old school RPG game like Skyrim which has tons of Hack n’ Slash and CRPG themes.
There’s no subscription system around this game, but Bethesda keeps releasing new expansions every year for ESO and Necrom is this year’s expansion, which when you buy, it grants you access to previous DLCs, too. As far as my experience, the community is active, friendly and you don’t get the feeling of a newbie player if you’re just jumping in this game.
The game has become massive over the years and I think it takes fairly months to play and complete everything. So the level cap is not the challenge and you can continue to collect the XP points and turn them to Champion points.
Necrom is the newest DLC pack
By getting Necrom, you get the chance to find new cool characters, new story, a beautiful part of the world to explore, and so many collectibles that makes you want even more at the end of the day. As the part of streamability, this game is beautiful, but not the type of competitive type of game that people would follow and watch your content because of it.
ESO shares many similarities with FF14 and WOW, yet it’s different in many ways. You can create your personalized character, follow specific classes and basically play a different role at each time. On top of fighting enemies, you get to explore new areas more than often in this game.
Solo and multiplayer
One of the trickiest parts of the game is the multiplayer scene and it’s not for everyone. I played the game solo but I also deeply wished that I had some friends that would play this game. It’s a game that makes me want to work around a team of healers, tanks and warriors and obviously is more fun to play with friends.
One other side note is that the game can be tough and confusing for the beginners. The games has unique different classes, each with their own different quest and a vast world to explore. So you might want to consider these things before streaming the game.
