SCHiM: Control A Shadow in This Unique Indie Puzzle Game

Single-player puzzle games such as The Witness, Viewfinder or the Portal series have always been loved by gamers and live streamers alike. They offer you plenty of detailed and well-designed levels to solve and sometimes with a story to experience. SCHiM is a great addition to the puzzle genre as it tries to offer its own unique puzzle game experience.

Let’s discuss how SCHiM does its job and whether it is suitable for live stream or not.

Be Aware of Your Shadow

SCHiM is a 3D single-player puzzle game. In this game, you control a shadow-like creature that can only move through the shadows cast by objects. Guide it as you try to find the owner of the little shadow. Experience the story indirectly as you find your way through the shadows in SCHiM.

Enjoy the Unique Gameplay of SCHiM on Stream

These short single-player puzzle games are perfect for livestreams since you can either dive into a new adventure or focus on the games’ new mechanics. As a 3D puzzle game, the game does its job perfectly and offers its own unique gameplay.

While puzzle games aren’t favored by all streamers, games that focus on single-player experiences like SCHiM can be more fun to play because you don’t have to strain your brain. You don’t have to be a professional puzzle solver to enjoy this game. Of course there are some puzzles you need to think about, or perhaps you can think of together with your audience, but that shouldn’t cause you any problems.

SCHiM tries to provide you with a few hours of fun with its unique gameplay and concept. Search for the next object you need and use it to experience your owner’s story. If you are a streamer who likes to try different games and you like the genre itself, you will not regret playing SCHiM.

A Refreshing Piece of Art

While it’s hard to say that the game focuses on the story and tries to deliver a great story with a nice narrative, there are still plenty of cutscenes and a plot to follow. Also, it should be said that SCHiM’s art design and color palette look amazing.

SCHiM, A Short, Fun Experience with Smooth Performance

As a puzzle game, SCHiM lacks replayability. It offers a brief, one-time experience. You can finish the game in a couple of hours. There are some collectibles and the like if you want to focus on it but in the end you’ll get the short but fun experience of a little SCHiM.

In terms of performance, I tested the PC version of SCHiM on STEAM and encountered no bugs or crashes. The game runs and looks great so I don’t think it will cause you any problems.
