When did you start streaming?
I started streaming in March 2020, so 4 years ago.
What made you decide to start your own streaming channel?
I have loved playing video games for years and unfortunately, COVID was very hard for me… So I tested live streaming and I loved it! So I continued.
Do you work outside your streaming channel?
I am a singer actress in musical and streamer full time.
Was your family supportive of your streaming career?
At first my parents were afraid that I could not do it, but little by little they believed in me, especially after having made the Zlan 2023 (a video game competition in France) and now they are very present.
Did you feel any difficulties growing your channel because of the language barrier? We all know that English speaking streamers/content creators are the biggest in the world…
So I have 99% of French audience, so it’s pretty easy to be understood. I would also like to discover other English streamers for example (or American, I love you).
And as a woman in a male-dominated community, did you struggle to grow your channel at all?
I had no trouble because I had a different personality and at the beginning, it was really to pass the time. After it became something for real, it also became quite complicated because we can receive a lot of ambiguous messages, must learn to go beyond them and make a shell to protect yourself.
What do you think women in the streaming community have to do to be taken seriously?
What I always say is to remain being yourself, after all we will always be criticize because we wear cleavage, or because we must be in the kitchen and not play video games etc… Each person should evolve in their way of thinking and especially let people do what they like.
What was the turning point for you that made you realize you could make money and possibly make a living out of streaming?
The major turning point is when I was drawn to go to the Zlan, it is where I saw that I could take a place in this environment and that I had to work more to achieve what I always wanted. Be important to some people.
You are part of Indeday’s group of French streamers… How do you think it helped you grow and establish yourself as a streamer?
Indeday was a revelation for me, I learned so much thanks to him. The network is a family that continues to grow, to help each other, but especially to love each other and it is important to support each other in this environment.
Who are your biggest inspirations in the streamer community?
I really appreciate the lives of Domingo, Maghla and Farod Games. They each have their own characters and their own way of animating their streams.
What type of games do you like to stream?
I stream mainly management and simulation games, but I also like games like Hogwarts Legacy or Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Did any game surprise you during a livestream? For better or for worse?
I love Hogwarts Legacy! And it was the first game I finished entirely live. It will remain one of my biggest crushes. Negatively speaking, I can’t find any because every game has something beautiful to showcase.
What would you think is your greatest achievement as a streamer? Both personally and/or professionally?
Definitely, overcoming my shyness. Talking in front of a camera is not easy! Professionally, I would say that it is the Zlan, because I tried to overcome myself and I loved doing it so much.
What were your biggest mistakes when you started streaming?
The biggest mistake is to compare yourself to others, to see that others are doing and we are not. Several times, I stopped because I couldn’t do it and it is at times like these that you have to persevere. And believing in yourself is very important. Those who want to start streaming, I have only one thing to say: go for it!
Have you ever thought about quitting streaming? If yes, why?
Yes! The fear of not getting there, the fear of judgment… It’s hard but we need to fight through it.
What is your biggest goal as a streamer?
My goal is to make a living out of it and keep making people smile.
After the pandemic, the live streaming market stopped growing fast and got stuck on what it is right now… What do you think it needs to improve to get back to a growing community as it was a few years ago?
COVID has had the effect of a bomb. To stay locked up and not be able to do anything is hard. So people turned to Twitch/YouTube to pass the time and to not feel alone. Unfortunately, apart from getting COVID back, it will be quite complicated to get this growth back. Yeah, make sure TV shows come on Twitch but that means television will be less important and it’s not the best thing.
What tips can you give to starting streamers that you wish you had when you were starting out?
Do not compare yourself to others and above all keep being yourself. Love what you do and little by little, you will make a name for yourself and create a community.
What can someone expect from your live stream when they find your channel for the first time?
The new ones are always very shy when they arrive, at the first contact I propose an exchange or I present what I do etc… Generally, they come back telling me that I am one of the only ones who exchange so much and it’s so much fun!
