Twitch and Kick: March 2024 Results

The month of March has finally come to an end and now the live streaming market can analyze the results that the third month of 2024 delivered for two of today’s main platforms: Twitch and Kick.

Twitch grows again in total hours watched

If we compare March with February, Twitch once again observed a small increase in its total hours watched. But of course, it should be noted that the analysis period is a little longer, given the smaller number of days that February has.

Even so, Twitch reached the impressive number of 1.8 billion hours watched in March, an increase of 2% compared to February, as reported by the website StreamsCharts.

Despite this, Amazon’s live streaming platform continues on a downward trajectory, when we talk about the other metrics analyzed, related to channels and viewers.

To give you an idea, the average number of Twitch viewers in March fell by almost 5% compared to February.

Kick achieves new record

For Kick, the month of March saw more growth, showing that its strategy of rivaling Twitch, hiring some of the biggest streamers on the planet, is working.

For the first time since its launch, in December 2022, Kick reached the mark of 146 million hours watched, totaling 146,107,580 in March, an increase of 12% compared to February.

And Kick’s records don’t stop there! The platform also achieved new milestones in the number of games streamed and average viewers, in addition to seeing growth in basically all metrics analyzed.
