Amouranth announces departure from Twitch after the platform changed its community guidelines
After undoing the ban on sexualized content in broadcasts on its platform, Twitch resumed its mission to reduce sexual content transmitted by streamers, once again changing community guidelines and directly affecting streamer Amouranth, who announced her departure from the platform.
The measure was taken mainly to prevent streamers from using intimate parts of the body, such as breasts and butt, as “green screens” to broadcast their videos.
As announced by Twitch, channels that focus on intimate parts of the body for a long time will be banned from the platform.
The change in community guidelines will come into effect this Friday, March 29th, and is another of the changes planned by the platform for this year 2024. One of the most anticipated (and already announced) is the change to Twitch’s mobile application. According to the platform, a complete redesign of the app should be launched later this year.
Amouranth announces departure from Twitch
Currently hired by Kick, on a non-exclusive basis, Amouranth reacted to changes in Twitch’s community guidelines and announced her permanent departure from Amazon’s live streaming platform.
On its official page on X (formerly Twitter), the streamer simply wrote “End of an era” and informed that it will focus on content for her OnlyFans, a platform primarily used for adult content.

Currently, Amouranth has 6.3 million followers on her Twitch page, while on Kick, the streamer has 219 thousand followers.
Twitch’s measure places it once again against the tide of new live streaming platforms, such as Kick, which in addition to offering better slices of revenue also have looser community guidelines, giving greater freedom to streamers’ content.
