Fortnite will end current season with an Eminem concert
Fortnite is close to starting a new stage in its history. Just like at the end of Chapter 1, with the change of the original island map, now Epic Games’ battle royale is preparing a grand event to end its current season, with a real Big Bang and a show by none other than the rapper Eminem.
The event is appropriately called The Big Bang, and it will close Season 5 of Chapter Four, called the Season OG, in style.
The event to end the current season takes place on December 2nd, at 2pm ET. As always, Epic Games recommends that players who want to experience The Big Bang log into Fortnite at least 30 minutes before the event begins.
Furthermore, the developer also informed that the event can be experienced in a group of up to 4 people.
Anyone who participates in the event will win a special The Big Bang Loading Screen.
Eminem and Fortnite
In addition to performing at the end of season event, Eminem, one of the most popular rappers on the planet, will also have special items in the Fortnite store.
Starting November 29th, players will be able to purchase one of three special skins inspired by popular outfits from Eminem’s music videos: Rap Boy, Slim Shady It and Marshall Never More.
The skins are part of Epic Games’ battle royale Icons series and will only be available for a short time.
The Big Bang em live streaming
Thinking about content creators and streamers who will cover, in some way, the final event of the current Fortnite season, Epic Games warned of possible monetization blocks and even interruption of streams and blocking of channels.
According to the developer, content about The Big Bang on platforms such as YouTube can be monetized up to 7 days after the event, without notifications for content removal during this period.
To monetize content, the creator must link their YouTube channel to their account in the Fortnite Support-a-Creator program. Creators without an account in the program can share their videos about the event freely, but without an option for monetization.
At Twitch, Epic Games warned that there is no way to prevent clips and VoDs from being intercepted by the platform’s copyright detection systems, recommending that streamers turn off these options on their channels during The Big Bang event.
The expectation is that Eminem’s show at The Big Bang event will be one of the most watched in Fortnite, if not the most watched, surpassing the current leader: Travis Scott, whose show was seen by 1,237,956 users.
Among the events, The Big Bang is also expected to become the biggest in the history of Epic Games’ battle royale, surpassing The Device, from June 2020, which had 2.3 million users participating.
