Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Continuing the legacy
In recent years Actvision has been making certain market moves and working hard on remakes of its renowned games and franchises, as it did with Crash, Tony Hawk’s and consequently its most successful franchise since the Playstation 2, Call of Duty.
Continuing the legacy of Call of Duty
Following the idea of the latest remakes, the game of the moment is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, a reinterpretation of the game released back in 2011 that this time continues the campaign of the Modern Warfare 2 Remake.
At this point it’s no secret the success that attracts millions of viewers and fans around the world with each COD release, and obviously it wouldn’t be different here!
The game takes everything that has been worked on over the years in the previous games and expands its content immensely, with a cinematic campaign that is quite interesting and different from its 2011 version, with dubbing in several different languages, beautiful action scenes and extremely detailed graphics.
And, of course, the icing on the cake, its multiplayer, which this time features a reimagining of the zombies mode which we’ll talk about later in this article.
Content, content, content!
As usual, Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer is where the game shines in every way. We know that COD can have really interesting campaigns, but at the end of the day we just want to have fun online, whether alone or in closed lobbies with our friends and viewers, and that’s what we’ll find here.
The range of content to play together is huge and appeals to all types of communities, be it in the good old traditional competitive multiplayer mode where you not only show off your skills to your viewers, but also complete various missions to unlock new weapons and items almost all the time. If you’re a creator who, like me, has returned after years without playing and realized that Call of Duty has become an annual service and you won’t be short of content to do any time soon…
The new zombies mode this time takes a lot of inspiration from the DMZ mode that has been present in the franchise since Warzone 2.0, where you and your squad of two other people are left on a giant map with various missions and objectives to complete while trying to survive hordes and hordes of zombies and mercenary outposts, as well as a story mode of missions and different bosses during your gameplay time.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Summary
It’s clear that Call of Duty’s success model has really made difference over the years, making the game not only one of the best sellers each passing year, but also maintaining its loyal fan base and leaving the door open for old and new players who have been away from the franchise for a while to come back and give the new game a try. It’s also interesting to note that Call of Duty is always a game that gets huge numbers of consumers and viewers over the years and seizing the moment of a release is really important for creators who want to stand out and get ahead in this arms race, so surely the time to play COD is now!
