Stranger Things’ actress compares live streaming on Twitch with Sitcom
You may know Grace Van Dien from the 4th season of “Stranger Things”, the popular Netflix series, where she played the character Chrissy, but it was really on Twitch that she found her comfort and the actress compared her live streams to sitcoms.
Previously, Grace claimed to be more dedicated to the life of a streamer than her acting career, as she has greater control over what happens in her streamings and does not have to go through situations such as sexual harassment, which she revealed that she has already experienced. “With streaming, I can choose who I hang out with, who I talk to, etc,” said Grace Van Dien.
In a recent video, the actress, who is known on Twitch as BlueFille, told a little more about her live streaming experience, which she says she likes since it is not scripted and she has complete control over what she does and what she says.
“I love both [acting and streaming]. I hope to find a good medium between both worlds,” said Grace, who continued:
“I love streaming with Pokimane and Disguised Toast, Valkyrae, Sykkuno, Tarik. Ah, god, I love all of my streaming friends so much! When I build a squad for a lobby, it feels like I’m casting my own thing. I know who’s gonna act like what.
It does feel like a TV show with different characters. But more like a sitcom. Not a sci-fi thriller. Yeah, it feels like a sitcom. That’s so cool. There’s definitely character development with streaming, and there’s relationship development, friendship development.
Wow, I really love comparing it to a sitcom. We should really have a sitcom of streamers now! You know, where we have the local pub we all go to and just sit and talk.”
On Twitch, Grace Van Dien can be seen playing games like “Valorant” and “Fortnite”.
