YouTube tests new AI tools
Artificial Intelligence is the rage in the world of technology and it is also coming to YouTube. According to Google’s video platform, new AI tools are already being tested.
These tools are part of Google’s initiative to integrate Artificial Intelligence into all of its products, including its Workspace enterprise tools.
Artificial Intelligence on YouTube
In this first moment, Artificial Intelligence arrives to optimize the viewer’s experience on YouTube, being added to the comments field of videos on the platform.
The first of these new tools aggregates video comments into groups, separating the largest blocks of comments by themes. Comment grouping is being tested for long-form videos and is only valid for published comments, excluding those held for review or that have blocked words or are from users blocked by the channel.
Creators who want to delete a comment thread automatically grouped by AI can delete comments that are within the thread.
Comment grouping tests are available to English-speaking Premium YouTube users.
Chatbot
Since the arrival of ChatGPT, artificial intelligence chatbots have become a real rage on the internet. And they are used for absolutely everything: creating images, discovering culinary recipes, creating travel itineraries… Just ask the Chatbot, with as much detail as possible, and wait for the result.
Piggybacking on this popularity, YouTube also adds its own Chatbot with artificial intelligence, which promises to make the viewer’s experience even more dynamic and interactive.
According to Google, the YouTube Chatbot will answer questions related to the video being watched, in addition to giving recommendations for related content. All this without interrupting video playback.
The trial is available to US Premium users and Android devices only.
